  • Lisa Brown, Ph.D., Associate Professor at the USF School of Aging Studies won one of the Mather Lifeway's Institute on Aging Promising Practices Award for 2011
    The program, Psychological First Aid Field Operations Guide for Nursing Homes program, Second Edition, was selected in a national competition for promising practices for older adults. Dr. Brown with a grant from Psychology Beyond Borders, developed the Psychological First Aid Field Operations Guide for Nursing Homes program that trains nursing home staff and relief workers to provide psychological first aid to distressed residents and staff members regardless of where they are located.
